8.9 - Psalm 24:1-10 // Who Is This King of Glory

Before we talk about what it means to follow Jesus, we need to be clear about who he is.

Psalm 24 gives us a picture of the King of Glory, the Creator who owns everything, the holy Lord whose presence we cannot enter on our own, and the victorious King who makes a way for us to come near.

A few anchors from the message:

Everything belongs to him.
The earth, our lives, our time, our resources, even the breath in our lungs belong to the Lord.

Sin keeps us from God.
Clean hands and a pure heart reveal a standard none of us can meet on our own.

Jesus makes a way.
The King of Glory has gone before us. In Christ, the presence of God is no longer out of reach.

He is worthy to follow.
Jesus is strong, mighty, victorious, and worthy of our full allegiance.
