9.6 - Romans 12:1-2 // A Student Who Lives Changed
Following Jesus isn't just about learning more. It's about becoming different.
In Romans 12:1-2, Paul calls believers to offer their whole lives to God as living sacrifices. Because of God's mercy, we don't pursue change to earn His love. We pursue change because we've already received it. Real disciples don't stop at studying God's Word. They allow it to shape the way they think, live, and follow Jesus.
In week four of FOLLOW, Pastor Bryan unpacks the second measure of discipleship: A Student Who Lives Changed. The goal isn't simply to know the Bible better. It's to let God's truth transform us from the inside out.
A few anchors:
- Life change begins with God's grace, not our effort.
- True worship is offering our whole lives to God.
- Following Jesus means rejecting the patterns of this world.
- God's Word is meant to transform us, not just inform us.
- Every disciple should be able to point to ways Jesus is changing their life.
Studying Scripture is only the beginning. The invitation is to respond, repent, and become more like Christ every day.
